Sumbawa. The main streets run on a one way loop forming a convenient racetrack for ojek drivers in the evenings although the side streets are quiet and leafy. Sumbawa located to the east of the more famous lombok island sumbawa is just waiting to be discovered.
Along with lombok it is part of the province of west nusa tenggara but there has been talk by the indonesian government of turning the island into a separate province. Sumbawa is an indonesian island located in the middle of the lesser sunda islands chain with lombok to the west flores to the east and sumba further to the southeast. It is a large island to the east of bali and lombok.

Sumbawa has several deeply cut bays producing numerous peninsulas and the excellent harbour of bima. The island has an area of 5 965 square miles 15 448 square km.
