Using both a graphical user interface and command line interface it can perform all sorts of analyses including descriptive statistics and a range of inferential tests both parametric and nonparametric. Think of something like spss or sas but with a friendlier interface.

Salstat is a small application for statistical analysis emphasising the sciences and social sciences particularly psychology.
